The fact that something is difficult must be one more reason for us to do it.—Rainer Maria Rilke
Welcome to Let’s Play Baduk!
My name is Daniel Acheson, and I’m the creator and writer here. Together with my wife and son, I live in Maryland, near the nation’s capital, but I am originally from the real Washington (as in Pacific Northwest). I’m Catholic with an interest in both history and games, and I am a voracious reader.
I became interested in baduk after reading Alan Levinowitz’s “The Mystery of Go, the Ancient Game that Computers Still Can’t Win”. From there I acquired my kit from BenGoZen and began to study and play. I’m currently a low double-digit kyu (DDK) on OGS (username: letsplaybaduk).
This site exists to serve as a record of my journey to shodan, advance baduk studies in the United States, and inspire players everywhere.
